Important Pre- and Post-Care Tips for Permanent and Semi-Permanent Makeup

To ensure the best results and minimise the risk of side effects, it is essential to follow specific care instructions both before and after procedures such as micropigmentation (permanent makeup) and microblading (semi-permanent makeup).

Important Pre-Care Tips for Permanent and Semi-Permanent Makeup:

  • Permanent and semi-permanent makeup should be done at least 3 weeks after Botox or filler treatments on the target area.

  • Avoid taking blood thinners (such as aspirin, omega-3 supplements, etc.), antibiotics, vitamins, iron tablets, and painkillers before the procedure.

  • Refrain from consuming alcoholic beverages and smoking before the treatment.

Important Post-Care Tips After Permanent Makeup (Micropigmentation) and Semi-Permanent Makeup (Microblading):

  • For the first 2 to 3 daysavoid getting the treated area (eyebrows, eyes, lips) wet.

  • From day 3 to two weeks, avoid steam baths or saunas; take showers without steam.

  • Two hours after the procedure on the eyebrows, gently clean the area with cotton and apply a small amount of ophthalmic ointment (ointment A) twice daily for one week.

  • Avoid sun exposure, saunas, jacuzzis, steam rooms, contaminated water, creams, and makeup products for two weeks.

  • A touch-up session should be done after 30 days to maintain the durability of the results.

  • Immediately after the procedure, the treated area will appear darker for the first week but will gradually fade and lighten from the second week onward.

  • The pigment settles into the dermal layer over 14 to 21 days. The final shape and colour become visible between weeks 3 and 4—patience is essential during this period.

  • Approximately 70-80% of the work is done in the first session, with the remainder completed during the touch-up.

  • If, for any reason, the touch-up is not done within 30 days, the cost for the next session may vary depending on the date you return.

Additional Notes About Microblading:

Microblading is a delicate, superficial, and semi-permanent technique using organic pigments. Its longevity depends on several factors, including:

  • Skin type

  • Hormonal factors and specific medical conditions

  • Proper aftercare following the procedure
